The Honest Company Essentials bundle April 2014| Review Update| ShandaG.
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well on this Friday morning.Today I'm doing something a bit different than usual. Yes this is a subscription box. But it has more than just beauty related items in it. The Honest Company features products meant for the whole home. Such as multi-surface cleaner and hand soap. The hand soap I received is in the scent Lemongrass. I love the scent it's light and refreshing. The formula is free of phthalates,SLS, SLES, triclosan, synthetic fragrances, glycol, enzymes,dyes, DEA and more. It also promises to be non toxic, natural, and enriching. After trying it my self for a while ,I found it to do a great job cleansing my hands and those of my children. It also didn't leave them dry which is a plus.
The Healing Balm did not a determined fragrance. The way it did smell was mild , sort of like chamomile and olive oil. If that tells you any thing! It is organic, plant based,hypoallergenic, and vegetarian. It also is free of petroleum,mineral oil, lanolin,gluten and more. I applied this to the rough spots on my feet and I did notice a difference in about two weeks. I think this would make a great balm for babies sensitive skin.
I received the Body wash and Shampoo combo in the scent Sweet Orange Vanilla. It smells like creamsicles! Yumm! It's not a strong smell either. It is tear free, hypoallergenic,plant-based,ph Balanced, color safe, Pediatrician tested, and non-Toxic. Just as the hand soap is free of all the chemicals you would find in some other soaps it's missing in this. Which is great for all the mom's that worry what those things may do. Or someone who maybe sensitive to them. I found this to lather very well with a moisturizing clean.
The Body Lotion I received was unscented. Although I could still smell the camomile in it. It is also plant based, Hypoallergenic, Non-Toxic, Vegan, Biodegradable, and ph-Balanced. It is also free of silicones, paragons and most common allergens. Which makes it perfect for people with sensitive skin.
The lsat product in my bundle it the multi-surface cleaner in the scent White Grapefruit. The scent is very light and not offensive. I was thinking grapefruit? Really? But, it wasn't bad. The formula is plant based also ,made with out ammonia, chlorine, caustics and the like. It's made to clean lots of surfaces without safely with out streaks. I tried it on my tub and the whole bathroom. It actually did a good job. I am quite happy with it.
I am overall satisfied with the whole package and idea. It's wonderful to see a company that is trying to make products with our health and environment in mind. All products are made in made in the USA ,Crulty free.
